Be Careful What You Wish For

Cause everyone else just might get it.

I JUST SAW DORIAN GRAY.

No words.  No thoughts.  Nothing.  I’m still in post-traumatic-awe.

Listen to the incredible credit music! This ought to clue you in to the true amount of mad-magnificence present in Dorian Gray! Best by far are Rebecca Hall & Colin Firth, who play Emily Wotton & Lord Henry Wotton respectively.  They pwn.  Ben Barnes does a suprisingly credible job at Dorian, though not quite as believable as I had hoped.  Special effects are unnecessarily bad.  Costumes mediocre.  Music AMAZING.  Acting quite good for the most part.  Rachel Hurd-Wood fit like a glove for Sibyl Vane.  Ben Barnes could have worn that wide brim hat a little less.  Not too crazy about the obvious sexual scenes – it could have just as well been implied.  Also the end is a little different from the book.  Ah well.  Still a delicious film!
