“Although it is such a singular word, there are many variations of alone.
There is the alone of an empty beach at twilight.
There is the alone of an empty hotel room.
There is the alone of being caught in a throng of people.
There is the alone of missing a particular person.
And there is the alone of being with a particular person and realizing you are still alone.”
When the harshness of life starts to press in, when reality shatters your dreams once again, remember . . . You Are Not Alone. That single human emotion – isolation – is one that holds the power to ruin our will to live. It can hit in overwhelming waves of despair, apathy, and meaningless.
If we can’t have Hope – hope of purpose, hope of love, hope of acceptance, hope of contentment, hope of knowledge, hope of escape, hope of self understanding, hope of freedom, hope that tomorrow will better – then we have nothing. So keep on clutching to your hope, whatever it may be. Do not give it up. Ever.
You Are Not Alone.
